There is a feature built-in to the norstar system called "Set Relocation". When this feature is turned on, you can move a working extension to an unused/activated jack and the extension, features and mailbox will stay with the phone.
Have your system administrator turn the feature on, then move up to 2 phones at a time. The phone will go through 2 bootup sessions - be patient and don't unplug the phone.
Good Luck!
Sounds like the call forward no answer isn;t set up on your extension. The first thing to do is to find out what the voice mail pilot number is. That's done by pressing feature 982. The display should say "set:xxx". The set number provided is the voicemail pilot number.
Next you'll need to enter system programming.
Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets.
Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344. The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number.
Enter extension number you want to change call forward no answer on. Press the show key (top right arrow) The display should say LINE ACCESS Press the next key (bottom right arrow) . The display should say CAPABILITIES. Press the show key (top right arrow) . The display say foward no answer. press theshow key (top right arrow).. The display should say none. Press the chng key and enter in the voice mail pilot number.
press the show key again (top right arrow) To review the rings til forward. Press the chng key if you wish to change the ammount of rings til answered.

The system has a built-in feature called "Set Relocation", which will
allow you to move your phone to another active telephone jack in your
office and the extension number, voicemail box, and all features will
stay with your phone.
Have your system administrator turn on Set Relocation, or check your
Norstar administration manual for programming details. Or, you
can call your telecom service company and have them send a technician.
You need to reset the password . Feature 983 enter 1020000 as the password if you have a 3 digit extension number or enter 120000 if you have a 2 digit extension next press the button under the screen with the heading of m box or mail box next your options are add delete or change press change . next enter mail box number the next step will be to press the reset button after re-setting the password press the release button . Well ~ eagleeigh731 has it mostly correct, do what he said to do and get into the programming --> find SYSTEM PRGRAMMING --> hit next until you find CHANGE DNs--> OLD DNs (this is the old extn#) 222 then type in NEW DN 431--> then hit the end or release button.
Voila your new extension is now there... to check dial FEATURE 0 then press the intercom button, the new extension should be there.
