Model 1305 at&t answering machine

Try unplugging it and opening it up and gently blow drying it and try to avoid getting it too hot. Let me know how this goes and if it doesn't stop, then please let me know the make and model of the machine.

usually this means the connection is not 100% or it can not charge or the battery is low ? How old is the unit ? and the regularity of the beeps and if they come from the base or the handset can give a clue try this method:
1. On the handset select Menu, Answer Phone is displayed, press Select .
2. Press CALLS until Settings is displayed, press Select.
3. Press to highlight Ans. & record and press Select.
4. Press to display Message alert and then press
or to select On or Off and select Save.
Saved will be displayed and the annoying machine has now been de-beeped
If you have messages that you have not listened to this can cause beeping . You should try to give the model number and more details that way the answer will be more relevent .

Open the control panel and locate the beeper. Pull off one wire and tape over it with electrical tape. Voila! Hope this helps!

disconnect the power to the phone and let it sit a while. Plug it back in and see if that doesn't help you out .

Questions like these are tough to answer because you only asked half a question. I'll take a stab at it :-)

I'm guessing that you're using a cheap (ie AT&T) answering machine and the call is abandoned but the extension plays a busy tone. The fix is to buy a better answering machine, use Panasonic VM, or get a product from Viking Electronics called a CPC-1.

All 3 of these solutions are going to listen for that beep-beep-beep and disconnect.

2. Your model 1305 is at the top of the list. Click on "1305 Manual", which will be in Blue Letters.
3. It should look like this:
4. Click on Download the 1305 manual.
5. It may ask you to specify where you want to save it onto your computer - or you may just open it from online.

6. From what you said it sounds like you may need to turn the tape over.
