Error code on screen E:61:00

I get error code E:61:00 on screen when turn camera on and a blurred screen can anyone help

    thanks this worked i also reset all the default settings on my camera too via the menu so hopefully it shouldnt happen again thanks for your help

    Error code on screen E:61:00. Took Batteries out and restarted. Same problem. Tried to reset to default settings, same problem

Try resetting your camera to factory defaults:

  • Turn off the camera.
  • Ensure the camera is not connected to an AC power adapter.
  • Remove the battery from the camera for 15 seconds.
  • Reinsert the battery.

    it appears that is a permanant error when the flash fails on that camera. it would appear sending it in for service is the only option.

    Mine did this too, and the lens cover only opened half way. I used a cotton wool bud to push the lens cover back and held it back until the lens clicked into place, turned it off and on and then it was fine

    Toshiba GSC-R30 error code

    I had the same problem the 003 error I formatted and reset it, then I turned the camera off and beat the top (where the little speaker is) with the palm of my hand. Turned it back on and the error was gone. May be the lense or hd gets jarred or something.Hope this helps

    No solution you can make- The motor mechanism is shot Depending on how long you have had the camera you may get it replaced or a repair price quoted. The repair price will be horrific buy the next camera.
