Direct copy VCR to DVD:
- Insert VHS tape you want to copy
- Insert a recordable DVD disc
- Press DVD copy button on front panel or remote control (to DVD).
- To stop recording press the stop button.
IMPORTANT: If attempting to copy copyrighted material the Samsung DVD-VR320 will detect the encoding and will not allow the copy to be made.

I finally got word back from a pal at LG regarding this issue as where I work we are getting these and as of Friday had about 18 to 20 units with this issue.
LG told us that this has to do with the encoding with the commercials (a one time record issue) on the one time record disks (DVD-R and DVD+R) now their "TEMP" fix for this is to used DVD-RAM or DVD-RW disks (these are not regular -RW they have a encoding CPMsomething I don't remember right now) but they will update us when they have a permanent solution. I will get the type of disk for the -RW on monday and post it here for everyone.

I don't have movies from premium channels, but do have cable HD channels. When I got the message re not recording in +VR, I copied from DVR to HD in PhilipsDVD-R and then dubbed to DVD.

3.Press left and right arrow keys to select DVD SETUP then press down arrow

Just sent mine back for not playing VHS tapes and when recording VHS to DVD the record stopped after 30mins of play. Not very happy.
