Go to "Account Management" in the XMB, then "Account Management" again, then "Edit Billing Information."

Cant change card details on ps3

If you mean the PSN account, try going to it with a web browser on a standard PC and setting it from there. Then when you log into the PS3 account that matches the online PSN account, the changes should appear. I do not store credit card details EVER on PSN due to the several very highly publicized hacks they have been victim of.

In fact, I do not store credit card information on ANY web site for later use, even ones I use a lot (Amazon, eBay, etc.) - it's just an invitation for the bad guys to steal your credit card information and you do not have to store the info there to use it - you can use it one time only, each time without storing, or get a "prepaid" card for online purchases if you want to store it on a site with a known history of being hacked, to keep the damage to a minimum if the account info of the card is later stolen.

I get a message when i try to confirm billing address saying credit card info. could not be up dated please check account info. or contact technical support i cannot purchase items from the ps store

That's the number for Playstation Technical support. They will be able to walk you through any problems your having with your credit card information on PSN.

Edit credit card details

If your trying to edit this information from your PS3 then forget it, Your better off trying to do it from the playstation network website by loging into your account and changing it from there.

That is your best bet my friend.

I used my mums credit card to purchase something of playstation store now im trying to put my card details back in it keeps saying unable to update contact techinal support

Part of your ID file has become corrupted on the PS3 Network. The server cannot make any changes on your file so the system is asking you to contact technical support so that they can make the changes for you.

You need to contact the sony helpline. This is a security action. If you contact them directly this can be adjusted :o)

Try unplugging your PS3 and reseting your router then trying the download agen, worked for me

To do it just use the XMB to go to Playstation Network>Account Management>Account Information>Billing Information. Enter your PSN account password and then you can change it.

1: If your credit card number is appearing in x's (e.g.. 111xxxxxxxxxxx357) then retype it.
2: If you live in a flat/ apartment then placing your address on 1 or 2 lines might help
3: Is your credit card still valid?
4: Having your billing and residential infomation typed in the same might help.

you have to go to the "Playstation Store" and buy a game online OR download a Demo. To buy a game, you need an account and a credit card. To download a Demo, you just need a playstation account, but no credit card.

after you choose your game, you will have the option to download it.
Once you downloaded it, go to "Game" and you will see the game you just downloaded at the bottom.
