Sony hasn't got windows 7 drivers for sony mvc-fd92, is there another place to find them? (prefferably not a program I have to pay for)
You can manually install the universal usb driver for mavica camera. basically you connect the fd92 and wait for the failure report. then manually select the usb driver from the list. this will install the memory card as a flash drive and enable you to copy pictures to your hard drive.
I know that i am so-o-o late but i own a sony mvc-fd92.if you have a memory stick/slot/card reader on you computer you can simply put the memory stick in the slot and it will read/copy your pictures.
as far as where you can get the memory sticks from, i got mine from ebay several years ago. they were only a few dollars then. i got both a 32MB and a 64MB. ebay still has them. they are pricey though:http://www.ebay.com/itm/64MB-Memory-Stick-Standard-old-Sony-Mavica-FD-100-200-/380361139651?pt=Digital_Camera_Memory_Cards&hash=item588f4a65c3
here's another one on ebay, (it's used though!):http://www.ebay.com/itm/SONY-64MB-Memory-Stick-Original-1st-G-Older-Camera-/230552978499?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DMRU-625%252BUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D300448526720%26ps%3D54#ht_3167wt_1182
here's another site that sells them as well:http://www.memory-up.com/Memory/SonyMavicaFD1097.html
good luck!
