Hi. I have a Toshiba Satellite (P205 S6337). My screen was black the other morning when I went to use it, I keep the screen on and open pretty much 24/7. When I unplug the power adapter and use the battery only then the screen is normal. I tried a good power adapter on it thinking that might be the problem but that didn't fix it. I also made sure the display was on full brightness for both battery and power usage. If I plug the power cord in then the screen immediately turns black and will not come back on until I unplug it, close the top and then open it back up. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!

Hi, thank you so much for your help. I followed your instructions but the screen will still only work on battery only. I did notice when I replugged the cable (without the battery in) and pressed power that on boot up the screen came on for a few seconds and then turned off and then it flickered again later on. I can see the display when the screen is black, very faintly, and when I shine a flashlight on it I can see it pretty well. Also, I plugged it into another monitor with the battery in and the power cable connected and the display showed up normally on the other monitor. Any other suggestions? Thanks again!
