The television sparks when you switch it on.

Six weeks back, I took my LG TV flat screen back to the shop where I bought it for repairs. The problem started one morning when I switched it on.IT produced a funny sound like a sound of a clock.I then switched it off and tried again after 3 to 4 hrs.The same sound was there and even louder. The next day I tried again and there were sparks of orange like colour.I decided to take it in since it was under guarantee. They send it to LG Workshop.I kept asking for it and I was constantly told they are waiting for a part or a tube.Last week I was told I will get it on Friday. Then I phoned again on Monday and they said I will get it today.Later on today, I'm told LG Manufactures can't get it right.

I do not have any suggestion but you need to keep pushing them on the repair. This is the same company that is used to be called Gold Star from the 70's. it made a lot of cheaply made products like VCR's and TVs. They changed the name to LG (Lucky Goldstar, not much better than the old name) later on, who will want to buy LCD TV, and appliance with th name like Gold Star, Lucky Goldstar?
It looks like it never improve its products quality and services, new name with the same junk.

Testimonial: "Thank you so much.I feel relieved now.I don't think I need that TV anymore and luckily they called late yesterday and asked me to come and choose a new one. This time I will know what product to choose.I wish people could meet expects like you before we make choises."

How to remove the back of the lg 47le5400. I took the screws out and it is still holding in one place.

If you don't know what you're doing, DON'T OPEN THE TV UP TO FIX IT, THERE ARE HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES ON THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD, EVEN WEEKS AFTER THE TV IS UNPLUGGED!

If you don't know how to do it yourself, find some local Electronic repair shops, get quotes, try to find reviews on the shops.

I have an LG LED TV we went to switch it on but the red lighy flashes a few times and goes back off. No picture on screen at all. Have tried unplugging for 120secs, and new batteries in remote.

Most likely the power supply board needs to be replaced. There's a smaller possibility it could also be the T-con board.

Why wont my lg 50 plasma tv turn

Perhaps replace your power cord. Borrow power cord from repair shop. If it works it's the cord. Also if the TV is plugged into power bar make sure the power bar hasn't been inadvertently turned off.

We had a similiar issue with our SAMSUNG Plasma TV. It had a 2'or 3" vertical bar of random colors on the right side of the screen. It would also go away but then come back. Fortunately for us the TV was still under its original 1yr manufacturers warranty. We called the customer support and they scheduled a service call. The TV repair man took our TV to the shop and replaced the defective components. It took about 3 weeks for the repair.

Samsung LCD Flat Screen TV LN-S2651D - Volume Problem

I lived with it for about six weeks, then took the back off the TV. Just now it seems to be fixed, but I don't know if it will last.

I disconnected the wire leading to the channel up/down, volume up/down and source board, turned on the tv, turned it back off, reconnected the cable, and everything seems fine now.

Tv has green dotes in pix.

Without a fan on sitting directly behind, it'll only take about 15 minutes before the screen bugs. Not to mention, the televison generates heat when off, so uplugging when not under use helps. Other than that, i'm trading it back in through Westinghouse for another one. Hopefully its not problematic or the overall product is definately trash.
