My monitor has been flickering from switch on for about a month. After re-starting 3-4 times it would clear. Then it took up to 8 times then it is just sometimes blank when I switch on. When it is plugged in to the power but not the pc it also flickers.

Yes, mine were successfully RESET from the error code SC:552 and SC:302. Machines runs good, but i about to wander what could be faulty inside, it took one month after error code 302 exist. Mine was exactly DSM615 same model same error code 302 (this is really 302) which resolved by reset. Hopefully machine will run good for two months.
To RESET it
1. Press Yellow button
2. Press 1, 0, 7
3. Hold Orange button for 3 seconds
4. Select MODE 5
5. Select Clear Memory (or something like it) (801)
6. Select 002-Engine
7. Select EXECUTE
8. Turn the switch off and leave it for a minute
9. Turn back machine On.
10. Done, or else there could possibly something else.

I have the exact same problem.
It stopped dispensing water and ice, then it started to make a clicking noise and now the freezer and the refrigerator don't work.

It's interesting that this failure occurred 3 months after the 5 year warranty expiration.

Unless I have the model number wrong (F1903), this monitor was relased in 2004. If it is 8 months old then it should be fixed under warranty. sorry to say but your LCD panel is failing, and will have to be replaced sonys panels are expensive

The flickering is most likely the florescent backlight having a hard time starting, Just like in a light fixture, as it gets old, it takes longer to warm up to get full functionality.
If under warranty, contact Dell for a replacement, if not, then when it becomes untenable, replace the monitor. Prices are dropping drastically, an new 20 or 22 In can be bought for about $150 or less

This is probably due to a bad solder joint somewhere. Bad solder joints can effect a unit in the reverse also. IE works at first and then dies after it gets warm. Think about how metal expands when it is heated. And contracts as it gets cold. If there is a hairline fracture on one or more component joints, this would cause it to not have such a great or solid connection when it is cool, or contracted. As it gets warmer, the solder expands therefore filling the void and giving it a good connection.

Regardless, it will likely only get worse over time. If you're handy with a soldering iron, pop it open and reflow all the joints. Especially the ones on the transformers and copper coils. Best to hit them all, excluding the tiny surface mount devices.

Well, this problem is going to only get worse. You can probably send it back to the manufacturer if you still have a warantee, but if you can't just buy a new monitor.

I had exactly this problem.
I fixed my AL2021 by replacing the output caps on the power board. $4 repair. Pull the thing apart (I posted somewhere on fixya how to do it, but it's simple) and replace the 1000uF, 680uF and 470uF caps on the end of the power board.

I don't have a solution, but do have the same problem. Mine is cleared by switching the camera off and back on again. Also the problem doesn't appear for long, clearing itself, on some ocassions. The problem stated when I was in a hotter climate, about 35degree celcius. I bought my camera about 3 months after release, I'd be interested to know the age of yours and if this is a common problem. Have you had your camera fixed?
