Black spots on the lcd display

I noticed 2 slightly black spots on the display of my camera, about 1/4 inch in diameter. I think if's just beneath the protective glass screen. It's still there on view image mode, on shooting mode ,on videoing mode and on menu display. The spot does not enlarge when I zoom in on viewing and shooting mode. What causes this and whats the solution?

I got this as a gift (sd750) and I have exactly the same problem. They look like two dark areas almost in the middle of the screen but slightly towards the bottom. They look like two small bruises with no defined egde but I have not knocked the screen at all.

Theydont show up on the actual photos so its not something on the lens and they dont change size. When you turn the camera off as the backlight turns off they are still there.

i have a SD870 that now has it and ive been searching for answers all over and havent found out anything either. bah.

i thought it may have been moisture so i took a hair dryer to it and it actually helped it as well as moved it out of the center and into the top corner.

its about half the size now and a few horizontal rows of pixels below the larger spot.  they are grayish in color and semi translucent with small patches of pink and green ones around its edges.  as i was shooting it with the hair dryer (for quite a while) some vanished and others changed colors.

its now been two weeks since its happened and they havent changed.

In my experience dark spots on 3.0in displays are common faults on Canon SD models. The problem occurs with age in the LCD layer and no amount of cleaning can solve this quality control problem.

Bosch washing machine leaks

what size is the line you are using for the gray water. what i mean is if you are trying ti use the same size hose as the original discharge
hose, the pressure to high. the hose original was about 1 inch diameter, the hose use to go up than the hose hook shape goes into the drain pipe thats 2-3 inches diameter for draining the water went into the sewer system, if your trying to use 1-1/2 hose, the diameter not enough air or room for all that water. i dont think the lenth the issue its the diameter and amount of pressure that being forced down small hose or pvc pipe.

Toshiba L675D, black spots

Your screen is shot or partially disconnected. A lot of laptops have the vid card to lcd connect in bracket that connects the screen to the keyboard. I have fixed many by siimply taking it apart and reconnecting the clip but the spots dont sound good. Ebay to buy one or Cl to dump it as a fixer. Either way its a waste of money to have someone fix it for you unless you do it yourself.

I have colored spots appearing on my screen when the TV is on. The spots are 2 to 6 inches in diameter and always appear in the same locations at various places on the screen. The first spots I noticed...

the light engine (optical block) is failing. there are lcd panels and light filters in the light engine. the problem your having is that they over heated and the image is burnt into the lcd or light filter. my be caused by a failing fan or just it's life span. the lcd panel or light filter are done for. you can keep calling panasonic and bug them over and over and they may send you a new tv. sony sent me one after 5 phone calls. i had the same problem. hope this helps.

A 1/2 inch roun black spot on the lower left screen. when print out photos it,s not on the photos

It's a screen problem (fungus, dead lcd crystals, etc.). If it's not affecting the pics, don't worry about it since a screen replacement is very expensive.

Blue spot on screen center. Peoples faces and show blue tint

if you have a Sony LCD projection ..Theres good chance optical block needs replacing .This spot will get bigger and will eventually cover most of screen the longer you use it .needs repair. If there is no warranty on this unit..I would estimate repair around 6- 8 hundred dollars ..

Screen fades to white

Most probably failure in the LCD controller IC in the lcd controller board. that no signal was sent out to the lcd driver IC thus you could only see white display. A replacement of LCD panel is the best solution. best regards

Black holes on Screen

Spots on my display

There's nothing wrong with your camcorder. Cystal-shaped spots, black spots, and bright spots of light (red, green, or blue) can appear on the LCD monitor for a variety of reasons. These spots are not being recorded on your tape. But if these are distracting your videotaping, consider taking a slightly different shooting angle and the spots should go away.
