First things first:
1) Depending on your brand of router, check manual for enable the printing mode.
2) check kind of cable, USB/Parallel, or firewire, use the correct kind.
3) drivers. Install according to the instructions.
4) check if you use a IP static for your printer.
good luck

Do you think the router and printer are conflicting each other?

This router has a built in print server. What type of cable setup are you using; USB, LAN, Firewire ?? All of these methods should work.

For me, I have usb printer and wireless router connected to my desktop in the office, and I use a wireless LAN laptop around the house and I can print from my wireless laptop.

Tell me what setup you want to use so we can narrow this down.
I'm assuming this is a NEW setup your trying to get started.

Hi, i have the same issue and it isnt the firewall. But here is how to disable it if it is. Go to the router websight at 192.168.0.1 (type this directly into the browser bar at the top of your page. The password is usually password in lowercase. The username is admin. This will get you into the management screen for the router config. Look on the Left and you will see firewall. Click on this then ensure that there are no restrictions for HP.

I still have the issue with the printer so good luck.......scotty
