The arm on the icemaker can NOT be blocked. If anything is in the way it will stop and time out the icemaker. The face of teh icemaker is a timer, that arm lets the timer know it is ok to cycle through. Remove obstacles and then lift arm up and down to reset it. It's a thin silver bar on side of the ice maker.

Not making ice fast enough
Good day,
Assuming the cubes it's making are the proper size, the speed the ice maker produces ice is determined by the temperature in the freezer.
When the ice maker harvests a batch of ice, an electric heater heats up the whole ice maker.
There is a thermostat embedded in the ice maker. It must cool back down to approx. 12 degrees before making the next batch. The colder the freezer compartment, the faster the cycles.

If the cubes are too small then that is usually caused by a blockage in the water filter if your unit has one, or the water valve that feeds water to the ice maker is getting weak, or lastly the water supply to the machine has become partially restricted.

On extremely rare occasions the thermostat built into the ice maker goes out of calibration which can cause a delay in cycling and requires the ice maker to be replaced. But again, it is a very rare occurrence.

Ice maker will only cycle once then it goes to off position . It stop working due to ice build up in supply tube. I removed the ice maker and ran hot water over unit to clear out the ice that was lodged in...
That bar your talking about goes to the full up position just before the end of the harvest cycle then falls right at the end of the cycle. But on a good day it barely drops. Characteristic of that ice maker.
If you ran water over the ice maker try these 2 things.
1. Remove the ice maker and leave it on the counter for about 2 days to completely dry out. Then re-install and try again.
2. If no luck, hang a small weight to the middle of the wire to see if it will drop on it's own.
3. If no luck, you'll have to replace the ice maker. However,
if your commited to buying a new ice maker, first snap off the front cover and look for interference where the wire goes into the ice maker. You can actually remove the whole solid state front end by removing the 3 screws that hold it on and make a more detailed check.
P.S. pull the wire out of the ice maker before this last step. It simply pulls out.

I think if you unplug the ice maker and remove it from the freezer to let the ice melt and dry out the Ice maker may start working again once you put it back in the refrigerator. If not we will need to check the thermostat inside the ice maker. Try that first and let me know the results. We will get it working I just need you to do this step by step until I locate the problem. But until the ice maker is dried out I cannot see if the thermostat will call for water when plugged back in. Let me know, Sea Breeze

The ice maker stopped working, gradually over a 3 day period.
It sounds like your harvesting motor failed. If you feel comfortable working on it, you can pull the ice maker out and remove the harvest motor and have it replaced. If you don't feel comfortable pulling out the harvest motor, pull the ice maker and replace the whole unit. They are a little tricky getting them out but if you take your time and don't rush, it is a doable fix for the typical do it yourselfer

The problem; water drips from beneath the ice maker inside the cooling area. This water eventually freezes and turns the whole ice maker compartment into a block of ice.

Ice Maker Stopped working
Hello, I don't know if this will help because the model I have is a 106.565(32)400. I have had my ice maker stop working many times because the fill tube was iced up. After about the 8th or 9th time that it did this I decided that I had to find a solution. What I came up with was that the door in front of the ice maker was keeping the tube too cold and making it freeze up. I removed the door to see if was correct. It never froze up again but the ice would fall out sometimes if you had the door open and it was in the dumping cycle. Then I drilled several 1/2" holes in the ice maker door and reinstalled it. I have had no more problems for over a year.

Ice maker water line appears to be frozen on gd5sha. ice maker won't function.
thaw the whole refrigerator for a whole day to thaw the ice inside the water line. it will reset also the timing of the ice maker.

No ice...different question
Are you able to see if you can push a Q-tip or something up the fill tube line to see if it's frozen up inside there. It happens on certain units. You may need to take the Ice Maker out (easy) to get to the fill tube.
