I have Pinnacle studio 12 and when I want to add a movie I get the comment that I have to install MPEG-4 Encoding/Decoding. Where can I find that file and how do I do it?

To install MPEG-4 Encoding/Decoding, you can try the following steps:
  1. Go to the Pinnacle Studio 12 installation folder on your computer.
  2. Look for a folder named "Redist" or "Redistributables".
  3. Inside the "Redist" folder, look for a file called "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" or similar.
  4. Double-click on the "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" file to run the installation process.
  5. Follow the instructions provided by the installer to complete the installation.
If you cannot find the "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" file in the Pinnacle Studio 12 installation folder, you may need to download it from the internet. You can search for "MPEG-4 Codec download" in your preferred search engine and look for a trusted website to download it from. Once downloaded, double-click on the file to run the installation process, and follow the instructions provided by the installer to complete the installation.
Once the MPEG-4 Codec is installed, you should be able to add movies to Pinnacle Studio 12 without any issues.

I'm a bimbo when it comes to this computer.....so hope you can still help me....when I "download" go-to-meeting.....after a few windows pop up and disappear and supposedly it's...

If this is a update to a previous download, you may want to un-install the previous version and then install the new one. Otherwise, when you download and run it, you may wish to change the install to a different folder (such as temp).

I cant seem to be able to use my media converter for philips.I instaled it from my philips GoGear VIBE disk and it says I have to download alot of other stuf with it.

Ok, firstly, media converter is for video files only. For music use Windows media player or you can simply drag and drop files to your music folder under your gogear device.

Also videos downloaded directly from the internet may not work properly on the player. You have to first convert them into a format that is suitable to the player using Philips media converter.

Download the Philips Media Converter software. Make sure corresponding Codec for playing videos is installed before downloading. The codecs are required to play videos on your player. To download Codec, you can:
1. Go to www.download.com/windows
2. Search for "directshow codec pack"
3. Download and install one of the codec packs from the list of results

Now to download video (suppose from youtube), connect your player to the PC and click the icon "Internet video downloader" at your desktop.
Open the website where your desired video clip locates. Move the cursor over the video you want to download until you see the Download icon. Double click on the icon to enable download.

After downloading, the Media Converter for Philips will then start to convert the video to the format that suits your player. If your player is connected to the PC, the video will be transferred to the player automatically.

The installer could not locate a suitable folder to install into

Dec 10, 2009- This directly from a Citrix support tech. Seemed to work for our situation: The issue seems to be related to a Windows Security Update. Our engineers are working on this. Can I get you to ask your client to try the following: After clicking the link to join your meeting. Select the option to manually download the software and save the executable somewhere you can find it easily. Most people prefer to save the file to their desktop. Next, right click on the icon and select ?Run As?? Finally, DESELECT the option to ?Protect my computer from unauthorized program activity.? And select OK. You should be able to connect into the meeting.

Go to meeting cannot locate folder to install to

I have this same problem. Its not an issue of permissions as neither my user who has Administrator rights locally and my domain admin account get the same message. I also tried deleting the GoToMeeting folder outright and still get the same error. (although it does re-create the folder for me)

Audio drivers

ALL THE DRIVERS U'LL EVER NEED FOR COMPAQ PRESARIO C700

To install audio / modem drivers, first download and install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp32646):

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

Conexant CX20549-12 Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (sp36090.exe) (UAA Driver needed)

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36090.exe

This will create a swsetup folder in C drive ("C:\sp36090")

Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.

3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"

4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"

5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.

6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.

7. Click Browse C:\sp36090 folder and select the .inf file (CpV30D5a) and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36089.exe

Download and install Conexant modem driver (sp36089). This will give error message and also will create a folder C:\swsetup\sp36089 which contains extracted driver files.

The same method which is used for installing audio driver needs to be followed for modem.
