Question about Sony Cameras
SOURCE: format error
Format memory stick, if no data on it.
If there is data on memory stick, copy it on PC using any good card reader.

SOURCE: Sony CX-12 Camcorder gives message when memory stick inserted
Hi!
This is a feature and not a defect of the CX-12 that reminds the user that the memory stick inserted might not be able to record the data from the camera effectively. HD video requires a memory stick with a relatively fast data read/write speed, and the CX-12 recommends not using any other stick that is not Mark 2.
Fortunately, though, as you have found out, it does not affect the camera's ability to record in non-Mark 2 sticks.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Memory Card Problems
Formart the card, either from the camera, "if it offers the option, most do" or if you have a memory card reader in a desktop or laptop, that is what it sounds like to m, best of luck Gym

SOURCE: How can i fix my memory stick pro duo if the computer does not detect it?
Hi Guy's!
Don't brick/bin it It is probably fine Your P.c. can possibly only read a Max of 2Gb so buy yourselves an external card reader that can read up to 8Gb or more and your back on the case.
There you Go FixYa'd
