Try using a thicker line when using the thinner line it is good only for grass if you should hit fence or concrete it will eat it up and you will be pulling it out every 5 minites or less.

Threading line on black & decker GL301 strimmer

Do you mean that the string keeps feeding as you try to operate the trimmer?

If so, you are winding the string on the spool the wrong way. Put the string on the spool in a clockwise direction. This should do it.

I have a Black and Decker Grass Hog trimmer and I can't get it

There is only a couple of reasons that I can think of that would cause this

1. The string is wound the wrong direction; it should be wound clockwise on the spool. (This is my bet.)

2. Or maybe, the string is too small for your particular trimmer, but this is very doubtful.

I am trying to spool trimming line into my black and decker GH1000. It is supposed to feed automatically. It is not. I'm afraid I fed the line onto the spool incorrectly. Need help

Yes, it does feed automatically.
Please make sure the trimming line spooled in your spool regularly.

If above does not work, please go to service center to change a lever inside spool housing.

Don't know how to rethread the line

Breaking off is a normal process. Set the centre of your line in the spool and wind the two strands in to the Spool, thread and re assemble. C
