What you need to do is connect it from both the red/white/yellow cable and your HDMI. Go to your video input on your TV to where you can see the display. Go to settings - Display settings, and switch your input display from composite to HDMI. Your screen will go blank. Once blank, turn your TV to your HDMI input and when you see the picture, save settings and completely unplug the composite cable. You should be good to go.

If this helps, please give me a 4thumbs up!

Respectfully,

Don

Why will my ps3 not workwhen conected via multi-av cable to the RCA jacks?it does work conected to a hd tv via hdmi

When you use an HDMI cable with your PS3, the system is outputting the signal in a digital format. You need to tell it to switch back to displaying in an analog format to use the RCA jacks, otherwise it won't work. To do this, turn off your PS3. Then, once it's off, press and hold down the power button on the system. After a few seconds, it will beep and reset the output signal back to analog. Just make sure only your RCA cables are plugged in when you do this. Hope this helps!

PS3 shows a blank screen when I use the RCA jacks but works well when watching DVD movies when using a HDMI cable. When using the HDMI cable the sound is distorted whe I insert a game disk

Well heres the problem when you set your ps3 to be on 1080p using a hdmi cable the rca jacks wont work. to reset it power down the console. Then hold your finger on the power button you will hear it beep twice i believe rca jacks should be working now you will have to do that everytime unless you change it with hdmi cable plugged in to where you can see.

When i turn on ps3 all seems ok but when i click into game screen goes blank

Hello, It is normal for the screen to go blank when you hit the game icon. Because the that's the T.V adjusting to the HD-MI max settings. On the main menu, go to settings then video settings. Scroll down and you will see screen test, press that it will tell you what the maximum resolution for the tv you are using presently. You may need to change the resolution down and that will most likely fix this issue. It could also be the game disk, it it just this game that doesn't work? Or all? Also try replacing the HD-MI lead you are currently using, or at least try remove the lead and blow out and dust built up. If my suspicion's are correct, this will have resolved the issue. Any further questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for using fix ya.

Why will my PS3 not work when conected via multi-AV cable to the RCA jacks? It does work when contected to a HD TV via HDMI>

You might want to do a hard reset on this buy turning the machine off then holding down the power button until you hear it beep this will get you to a factory reset screen then what you do from there is tell it to reset all data. Hope this works enjoy!!

Inputs quit working

check the cords for open.if not, try to wiggle just a little the cords while you insert it, if the screen flicker and shows video signal, you'll need a tech to resolder the jacks.

RCA D52130 52 in. Won't Display High Def

Hi!
I doubt you'll look at this 2 years later, or even have the T.V.

I have the same TV and was able to view ps3 and xbox 360 games in 1080i, but it's a little tricky. First, let me say that the ps3 is probably not the best system to try using 1080i in unless you have a 360 to help trick the tv into working.

Xbox 360
You need to first set the video to 1080i. This will make the screen display in a bunch of horizontal lines most of the time, but if you keep toggling it on and off, it eventually works. To avoid having to sit and swap between the two modes, it's easier to first set it to 1080i and confirm the setting, then go back into the settings, select 720 (first option above 1080i) and cancel as soon as the video mode changes. 95% of the time this will make it display correctly in 1080i mode. If you turn the tv off and back on, it will sometimes reset to the horizontal lines. If you restart the xbox, it will reset to horizontal lines most of the time. With the ps3, you can set it to 1080i and keep toggling it until it works, but when the game launches it can screw up again, so it's best to have the xbox on and ready with a component switch so you can fix it with the xbox then switch back to the ps3. I think the cable that comes with the tv for HD input (the component plugs don't work, they only support 480, but the vga looking input supports 1080i) - the cable is just poor quality and can barely handle the signal. I've been trying to find a better quality cable with no luck.

Hope this helps other people with this ancient beta HD input canadian tvness.

No power on PS3

I THINK YOU NEED TO BUY NEW RCA JACKS,, BECAUSE IF THE ELECTRICAL FUSE WENT FROMT HE TV TO RCA JACKS THEN ALL THE CORDS THAT PLUGS TO THE PS2 ARE SHORTED OUT.
