Question about Whirlpool GHW9100L Front Load Washer

Duet front load washer about 10 years old alarms hf in every cycle. If wait a few minutes can restart the load this may happen just once a load but generally occurs 3-4 times through out load always within minutes of starting.

Try to replace water pressure valve switch and flow meter. If not OK then replace main circuit board.

Try unplugging the machine for 15 or 20 minutes and see if the computer resets itself. It worked for me.

The washer will go through the wash cycle, then it won't spin, it blinks a code of SUD, and sometimes F12 or some other code. The buttons lock to where nothing will work. I have to unplug the unit and wait...

SUD means theres too many suds in the washload. Try an HE detergent. I recommend ALL

Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer: I put my machine on pause and now I can't restart....

Press "end of cycle" for 3 seconds, wait for 2 minutes, try door. Shut door and restart your cycle. If door still does not open - repeat 'end of cycle' press for another 3 seconds.

F/06 Drive Motor Tachometer Error
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.

Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)

This error code indicates that the door is not locking.
Is the washer door firmly shut?
The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it.
Were you washing a large load?
Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed.

To remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice.

If Pause/Cancel does not work:

Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
Re-select the cycle and press Start.

NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service.

How long should a normal wash cycle take on the whirlpool duet?

One hour and 10 minutes is normal for your washer. All front load washers take a long time. They wash a lot better than top loaders. So to answer your question.. yes its normal.

1st ck all hoses and screens for blockage be sure you have good water flow to washer next remove top ck flow meter left side 2 small hoses 1 in one out may be able to tap it on the side and temporaily correct problem best bet is to replace it

With an error code the only way to find and to repair this is,

First unplug the washer and wait a few minutes then restart it like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
If it corrects the problem GREAT!!! WE WIN!

If not only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.
Like we used to be able to fix my own cars, but not today they need diagnostic equipment!

How old is the washer?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

cleanlaundry If your washer is less then a year old do nothing and call the manufacturer ASAP. It is under warranty for one year. Gendos...post back
