hello! how u . this behavior is brought about by this factors i either the loading motor belt has worn out , 2,the loading motor is faulty not spinning ,3the CD tray is set wrongly so remove the tray and set it correctly for it to close and open .
Try looking into the lens (power off) with a magnifying glass. If you see any damage you will need to replace the lazer/lens section as the lens will never be able to read the disc.
If it's clear it's more likely to be an electronic fault.
1. press the menu/set button on component to select display mode 2. use the +/- button to set the time mode (AM 12:00 blinks) 3. press the menu/set button for at least 2 seconds (the hour will start blinking) 4. Use the +/- button to set the hour, must roll the hour to change am/pm 5. press the menu/set button to switch to minutes 6. use the +/- button to set minutes 7. press the menu/set button to finish setting the time
We had the same problem, found that if you plug your device into "line 2 in" on the back and select tape it worked for our ipod. We had to turn the volume right up on the ipod to hear it though
