Do a right click on the volume icon in the lower right side of your screen. Now click open volume control.
Make sure nothing is muted and all levels are at their highest.
Next click on options at the top left of the volume control box and select Properties.
Select the correct mixer device from the drop down menu and select playback.
make sure all the boxes in the bottom are checked and click OK.
Now make sure all the levels are max and no Mute box is checked.
Should work now.
If you still do not have sound, try reinstalling the sound card drivers. If that also does not work, it could be that you will need to replace your sound card..
