Hello
Although the system is not a new one to use PCI express card but you can use any AGP 8x Graphic card.
My recommended AGP 8x graphic card is eVGA e-GeForce 6800 GT/ultra 256 MB.
Hope this helps
The 256MB graphics currently shown in your PC is on board graphics which is most probably shared by the RAM. Its not actually graphics card. And the performance is very poor compared to actual graphics card or GPU (Graphics processing Unit). There is nothing that can to done to improve performance other to add an actual GPU.
It is probably cheaper and less time consuming to replace the actual video card. Many manufacturers sell only finished products and you will not be able to use a different chip or it will cause problems.
Hello I think your graphics card or screen is broken on your Acer Aspire 5920G, one thing you can test is to connect at external monitor to your laptop. If you dont get any picture then its your graphic card broken, if you get picture it is your screen. also try to adjust the screen light.
