I've replaced the gasket and screen of my bialetti and now it won't work. It burns the coffee and only manage to spit out a little bit. This seems to happen every time I replace parts but seems to fix itself with a few attempts--this time I've tried a number of times and still no coffee help!

The same thing happened with mine. Try replacing the screen cup, which can get dented and create gaps for steam to escape. The other trick when using a new gasket is to brush a little cooking oil on the screw threads, tighten it down pretty hard, and use a high flame. It's really hard to undo for a while, but after a half dozen times the gasket has expanded enough so that you don't have to do this.

When I got the spare gaskets there were 3 in the pack. I added an extra one into my coffee maker to get a good seal.

Where can i get a replacement gasket for a principessa lavazza balzono model number 53190B/82

Try a Bialetti spare. I have had success with a Bialetti gasket for this identical model having searched for the correct Lavazza gasket for years. Mine came from from Pumphrey's Coffee in the Grainger Market in Newcastle uopn Tyne, but any Bialetti stockist (it's a very common espresso maker) should be able to get you one. It's probably the 6 cup size you need.

Barely any coffee rises to upper chamber after cooking

It's the gasket!!!!! Store the pot with the two parts screwed TIGHTLY together for about a week. Tighten it up as the new gasket compresses. Problem solved in two weeks or less. Also cook on medium to low heat. High flame seems to make the problem worse.

6 cup only making one cup

I just had this same problem and after reading this blog I went downstairs, tightened the pot down more and it worked! I usually don't tighten it this much, but will continue to tighten it down hard until the gasket is broken in. Thank you sooooooo much!!!

Bialetti will not make coffee

I would check the grind size you are using. Maybe it is ground too thin and the pressure cannot push through.

Also, remove screen and washer and make sure passage to the top is clear.
