I have a lexmark 4800 series all in one wifi printer. I think it's the 4875 one. I can install the software on Windows 2000 and XP but when I try to install on Windows Vista (absolute rubbish OS) I get a message saying something about not being able to install NT files. I have downloaded the correct driver from the lexmark site but still have the same problem.

Turn off all your security software (antivirus, firewalls), download the latest drivers from the lexmark site, manually extract them to a folder without running the setup wizard- connect printer to usb- go to the folder you extracted the files to, right click on the setup file and 'run as administrator'- it should successfully install and go wireless-

You should be able to open your "Printers" folder, and just delete the "foreign" driver. Then just reinstall it with the correct language.

I can't get it to work! Wi-Fi light will never turn on! I have tried everything, I'm running Windows 7 64 bits, I tried many times reinstalling, nothing works! Please help!

You should try resetting the internal network adapter of your Lexmark Z1480 printer. Please refer to this article from the Lexmark website - How to Reset the Z1400 and Z1500 Series Network Settings. The WiFi light on the printer should turn orange after doing the steps. Try to configure the wireless setup on your computer again.
Also, make sure to use the correct printer driver for your Windows 7 64-bit. If you're not sure, unplug the printer from your computer and uninstall any existing Lexmark Z1400 software before installing the new driver. Go to Start menu -> Programs -> Lexmark Z1400 Series -> Tools -> Uninstall. Reboot when prompted.
To reinstall the software, download the printer driver using this link Lexmark Z1400 driver for Windows 7 64-bit. Execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.
I hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.

You did a nice job trying out other ways to install the printer successfully. However, it's weird that 3 computers are not recognizing the USB connection. Make sure that the USB cable is plugged in correctly (in the right position) in the USB port of the printer.
Next, use the correct driver that is compatible with your computer's operating system. You may need to uninstall the existing software before reinstalling the new one. Instructions on how to uninstall the Lexmark software available at http://bit.ly/8ZH59T. Then, you can download the drivers at:
