Someone worked on Your refrigerator before and they bypassed water tank which located in refrigerator section. Someone repaired it wrong:) I have seen It often when people just bought the house. Previous owner wanted to do it cheaper:/ Hope That Helps!
I have a GSH25JSRFSS GE refrigerator. Twice, the water line has frozen near the dispenser. Each time I used a hairdryer to heat either the side of the door where the water line runs and blew hot air up the dispenser. This last time, I took the plastic cover off the outside of the door (it clips on) and blew hot air into the small holes in the door that the outside grate clips into. This allows the hot air to get inside the door, and I heard ice from the frozen line drop. Subsequently, the water line worked. Two points: I did have water running to the line in the bottom of the refrigerator, so I knew it was an ice clog, and secondly, I took care not to blow hot air on the exposed wires inside the door.GKAZ
I have a similar problem for my LSC27911ST. There is no water coming out from the dispenser, although ice maker seems to be working.
I didn't do anything other than keep trying water dispenser in hope that water can be drawn out from the inner pipes.
After opening the freezer door a number of times, tried dispense ice and then tried dispensing water a number of times, eventually water come out again.
Maybe the water line in the refrigerator was frozen. It is very hot today, and maybe the refrigerator over work too much.
These refrigerators have a solenoid valve on them that commonly go bad. It should be located on the rear of the unit. If it is not there then u will have to trace the water line back until you find it.
If this freezer is like most, the water going to the dispenser is looped around many times in the refrigerator section near the back. Make sure that this is still true. It must have a lot of water cable in the refrigerator section so that the water has time to cool down before it goes out the dispensor. If for some reason the water tube is touching either the compressor motor or another hot part of the external refrigerator it could cause it to be to hot to cool down in time during its travel through the refrigerator as well as it will start to warm up the refrigerator section as well.
Also, I am sure you have tested, but make sure that you are plugged into the cold water supply and not the hot water supply. Check the water at the connector and see what the temp is at that point before it enters the refrigerator.
My guess is that the coil of water tubing that is usually in the back of the refrigerator section has been either lessend in length or the water entering the refrigerator is too hot to be cooled down in time before it reaches the dispenser.
If this is a new hook-up please be sure that your water line is connected to the cold plumbing on the house and not the hot. IF it is on the hot the fridge is cooling it down to warm.
