None of the buttons work when we press them. Tried opening and closing the door several times, unplugging and then plugging the microwave.. no success. The time screen is still lit up ('Clock' is lit up) but no time shows. Sometimes the microwave beeps randomly and 'Code' lights up on the time screen and the time says 2:40 How do I get the buttons to work again?

F3 occurs if the controller detects a key shorted for more than 60 seconds. Luckily, on this model, the "keypanel" as it's called is available as a separate part. The 401 model prefix means it's actually made by Samsung.

On some Samsung models, there is an odd SE error message that seems to be vexing a lot of people.

It's probably a sensor going bad, or maybe scrambled code in the microprocessor, but it's odd.

I hate to say it, but since it's a Kenmore brand, you're going to have to call Sears for service.

F6 means a problem in the control circuit board.
Try unplugging the microwave with the door open, then plug it back.
Try the solution that you find here, if it does not work the panel must be replaced.

I have the same problem with my microwave, the clock disappears and it says "enter" and "amt", I figured out it's the "beverage" button that is sticking. When I want to use it I just press "beverage" and then "reset" and just press them over and over until it stops. Usually it's on the first try, sometimes I have to press them a few times. Just don't do what I'm about to type though, I decided to get my razor knife and cut the button out carefully, I only cut the contacts on each side of the button, now no buttons work, I should have left it the way it was, at least I could use it that way.
