I have a baby Weber grille. It can take a propane canister and/or use a regular size propane tank with the proper hose. In either case it doesn't appear that propane is getting through to the burner and as a result it won't light.

Why won't my Weber grill ignite after installing a

Disclaimer- be careful when working with gas. Starters in gas grills are just about novelty anymore. Often, they only light 1/3rd or 1/4th of the burners and they usually stop working within one grilling season. I recommend using a wand lighter. Try to light just one burner but if doesn't light in 5 to 7 seconds, turn the gas off and wait to try again. Incidentally, you are turning the gas on at the tank, right? You should hear it when you turn the burner on.

Natural gas grill won't light with match. Gas side pilot will light but not main grill. Help- we have a lot of company.

Check the valve and jet. The chances are that the jet is clogged. Depending upon where you have stored the unit, the jet may be clogged by a spider that was attracted to the odor of the natural gas.
Should be an easy fix.
Let me know if you have any problems or questions. Thanks.

My grill has 4 burners. When I light the first one, everything is fine. When I go to light the second one, it sounds like it is cutting off the gas and it won't light. You can hear the gas coming out...

The problem you're having is a result of the gas tank & the grill's gas regulator. However, in most cases, it's solvable if you do the following.

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF & disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow) .

4. Once the valve is full open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set it on HIGH.
Does the fame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners the exact same way.
Did all the burners light and the flame heights look correct? Is so, you solved the problem.
Remember to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If the above did not solve the problem, you will need to replace the Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at hardware stores or home centers that sell grills & grill accessories. Take you old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling.

When i push igniter it clicks but burners won't come on and i do not even smell gas , i burped it and turned gas tank upside down once, still won't work, grill is only 5 yrs old.

It sound s like the grill's regulator is locked up from "burping" the tank. Hopefully it's not a permanent lockup. To hopefully solve the problem, follow the steps below:

1. Turn the tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.
2. Turn the burner(s) ON for 1 Minute, Then turn them OFF.
3. After 5 minutes reconnect the hose to the tank and open the valve VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (Slow
motion, slow).
4. Once the tank valve is fully open light one burner and turn it to HIGH. Did the burner light and
does the flame height look correct? Id so, light the remaining burner the way. Did it light and the
flame height look correct? If so, you solved the problem (with a little help).

If the above didn't solve the problem, the Hose/regulator Assembly needs to be replaced. What happened was this, when you turned the tank upside to "burp" the tank. The OPD Valve shot a hot load of gas to the regulator, when you opened it, as you normally would and permanently locked up the grill's regulator. That "burping" trick used to work with the old style tanks. Won't work with the new ones. You can get a new hose/regulator assembly at any home center or hardware store, that sells grills and accessories. They run about $30.00. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes. Once you install the new one and connect it to the tank. Open the Valve Very, Very Slowly, until it is fully open. Or you may have the same problem again.

Hope this helped to solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!

Kenmore 800 grill replaced ignitor i get a spark but it won't light

First and foremost, make sure the gas tank valve is turned ON and that there is adequate gas in the tank. If that all checks out, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF.

2. Disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes.

3. Reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion,
slow).

4. Once the valve is full open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to HIGH. Did the
burner light and does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burner(s) the same
way. Did all the burners light and the flame heights look normal. I so, you just solved the
problem (with a little help).

Remember to always turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

If it didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Regulator/Hose Assembly. You can purchase on at any home center or hardware store that sell gas grills and accessories for about $30.00. Take you old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

Gas grill wont lite manuallly

Do you mean it won't match light or the ignitor won't spark and light the burners? Or both?

If it won't match light or the ignitor sparks, but the burners don't light, that means you're not getting gas to the burners.

Check to the tank valve and make sure it's turned ON. Also, make sure that there's gas in the tank.
If both of those check out as OK, turn the gas tank valve OFF. Disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes. Reconnect the hose to the tank and turn the tank valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to HIGH. Did the burner light and the flame height looks correct? If so, light the remaining burners following the same procedure. Now, are they all lit and the flames heights look correct? If so, you solve the problem. Just remember to always open the tank valve very, very slowly.

if the burners failed to light. Remove and clean all the burners, as well as the venturi valve on the open of each burner. Spiders like to build nest in the venturi valves.

if cleaning the burners did not solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's hose/regulator assembly. You can find it in any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories, for about $30.00. Take you old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please be kind enough to let me know. Thanks and Happy grilling!!

Just bought a new Jenn-Air grill and cant get the temp past 250. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

First, check that all the gas lines and flame bars are clear of any 'things' or bugs. I had a similar problem with a Webber grill and found out my problem was with the gas bottle. The new Overflow Protection Valve required on LP bottles can closed off or severly slow the flow of gas when the bottle is full and the valve is opened quickly. It will let enough gas flow to light the grill but won't let the fire get high enough to heat the grill up. Turn all the valves off on the grill and gas bottle. Open the gas bottle valve slowly then turn on the grill burner and try lighting it. If the flame is still very low try again or you have to let it burn at the low level until the OPV float drops down and the valve doesn't impede the gas flow. The best way to avoid this in the future is to not fill the gas bottle to the top when you have it refilled. Just ask the LP attendent to not fill it all the way.

My model is KFGR361SSS. The right burner cllicks when i try to light it, but it won't ignite

You might want to check to make sure that the gas is reaching the burner. If you can light with a match, then your igniter circuit is not aligned properly. If there is no gas getting to the burner, follow the gas line back until you find where it is blocked. OR it could be the switch is bad and not allowing gas to that burner.

Grill was moved slightly. Now won't start.

Motion sensor inside spiffy new fangled gas bottle tripped. Shut off the gas and remove the bottle.
Open all gas control valves on the the grill and close them all making sure they are all off. Reconnect the Grill to the gas bottle and crack open the gas slowly about a quarter turn only. Light that puppy and party on.
