Out of the blue the t.v. faded to black and now has no picture or sound. Is there some parts that need to be replaced? As of now, I'm thinking of selling it for parts. Thanks.
I also had the screen 'turn off' and go black. Interesting thing is, the power light flashes a
sequence of 3 flashes, turns off for about 5-10 seconds and again 3 flashes. This continues
indefinetly until the power is disconnected.
Talked to tech support, what a bunch of idiots ! 'Oh gosh, that's not good, have no idea what that means' ! 'Take it to a repair shop !'.
Can't believe that it is not some kind of error code. Of course taking it to a shop would cost about
the same as a replacement.

No warranty left. Would you believe the response I got from customer service at Sanyo? They said, picture faded to black..."that's not good!" Then they refered me to a technician. The device is 3 years old...just past the 2 year extended warranty...of course!
This could be something simple or not... How old is the set? Is there any warranty left?

My Sanyo CLT1554 lost its picture but retained the sound and about an hour later the sound went out. Any idea what is going on and can it be repaired?
