Unfortunately, Guitar Hero 3 does not support drums. World Tour is the first game in the series to support them. In addition, if they aren't official Guitar Hero drums, they aren't guaranteed to work with World Tour. Hopefully they do work. Good luck!
Tough problem. Could be the guitar, or the wireless reciever. Try plugging the guitar in via USB and see if it works. If not, try these steps. http://hubpages.com/hub/Fix-a-Wireless-Guitar
I only have the guitar version but... on the PS3 menu (not inside the game) go to settings --> change controller number (or words to that effect) and change the controller number of the guitar.
you need the guitar that comes with rockband as far as i am aware.
what system are you on? what is plugged into the system via a wired connection. what is wirelessly connected to the system?
Verify that your guitar is connected to the PS3 by looking for the red indicator light above the strum bar.
If the indicator light is not lit please refer to the following page for directions on how to sync your guitar to the console.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting the wireless dongle, then restarting the system.
If the buttons are not functioning in the game or behaving oddly please press the lever on the back of the guitar at the base of the neck and remove the neck from the guitar. Then plug the neck back into the guitar.
Check to see if the guitar button in question is functioning in the Playstation 3 XMB (the strum bar should scroll you up and down, the fret buttons act like the buttons on the controller and are labeled on the side of the neck, etc)
If the strum bar is registering extra hits try keeping a finger on the strum bar while playing the game instead of flicking it with your fingers/hand.
Try replacing the batteries in the guitar.
