Downloading a lexmark 7300 series all in one

I got a new computer with windows vista and I attempted to install using the CD that came with my printer.....it went on and on and finally said it could not do it. However the pictures are on the control panel with O as the amount of install??? what can I do now?

    after installing lexmark 7300 and setting as default printer, with vista, i cannot print as it says it cannot find the printer port, any suggestions.

    My HP 8360 does not list, and will not operate Lexmark 7300 printer after disc is agreed to and installed. Printer/scanner works fine, no computer connection.

    It is the exact same problem. Bought a new computer with vista and the 7300 Lexmark says it's installed, but doesn't work.

There is a new Driver utility out now that fixes this problem with Vista. Problem is, when you d/l it and reinstall you don't have the fax utility software, but you can at least pring

Uninstall, disconnect, then reinstall, and then plug in. you lost me when you said pictures are on the control panel with 0 as the amount of install.....

New laptop with windows 7 won't print to Lexmark x7350. says to enable bidirectional support - but that option is grayed out.
Make sure to use the correct printer driver version for your operating system. You may need to uninstall your existing printer driver first before downloading the new driver. Go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 7300 Series > Tools > Uninstall. After the uninstall process, reboot pc when prompted.
When your computer turns on, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > Properties. Check the System Type. Note: Use Vista driver in Windows 7.

You may need to uninstall the existing Lexmark X8300 series printer driver first before installing the new driver. Instructions on how to properly uninstall the Lexmark printer is available at http://bit.ly/8ZH59T.
Then check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to the Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> click on Properties. Then close the window.
NOTE: FOR LEXMARK X8300 SERIES, USE VISTA DRIVER IN WINDOWS 7

I need to re install my printer to my computer because it was uninstall but i dont have the CD to do it. I have a lexmark 7300 series x7350
If you do not have the disk you download software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthefile,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles ,thenfollowinstructionsbelowto reset and reinstall:


  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website and run the file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note some printer does not work on Vista.

Problems with downloading printer
This is what Lexmark says to do if you are having trouble loading your drivers:

(a)Attention Windows Vista Users
If you have installed your printer on your PC using an original Lexmark Driver CD that came with your product and you are experiencing problems when printing, you may have installed the Windows XP driver.

Follow these steps to resolve:
· Disconnect your USB cable from your printer.
· Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC.
· Download the correct Vista driver for your model.
· Install the driver on your PC.

Important - Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected.

Here is the link to the correct Vista 32bit drivers for the X1100 series.

Printer lexmark 7300 needs to be installed on puppy linux
I think the best bet to find a Windows Vista driver is to go to http://www.lexmark.com.

At the top is a drop-down that says "Drivers & Downloads". Under that select "Driver Finder".

On this page it gives you a few options, but there is a box that says "Search by Model" above it. Type X7350 in this box and it will find what you need. You'll have to select Vista after this, but it should be easy from there on out I think. The X7300 and X7350 are the same series, and so the same driver will work.

Hope this helps!

There is no linux driver for this printer for those asking about a linux driver.
