Question about Electrolux EIFLW55HIW Front Load Washer with IQ-Touch Controls

1 Answer

I have an EWF 1090. It was washing normally. I went to check on it and the code E20 was showong. I opened the drum filter and emptied some debris out. I then went to turn the machine back on and there was a crackling sound followed by a muffled pop. Now the machine won't even show any power to it. I have checked the main and it's ok. What can it be?

I have a similar problem on mine. We suffered a few E20 codes on the preceeding days before the machine went "dead." I assumed an issue with one of the pumps had caused the computer to get cooked. The problem is that I can't find an electrical data sheet inside the machine anywhere. I've been trying to find a service manual online with no luck so far.

Wat is code for e20 on a ewf 1080

E20 error code measn blocked filter. Removing the blocked filter you have to remove the water from inside by using the small flexible tube which located next to the filter at the right bottom of the machine. Then the only think it still remains was to unscrew and clear the filter.

Hope helps.

I have an E20 error code flashing up on my zanussi jet system washing machine

E20 is an error code for drainage failure.

Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage.

If it's onto a spigot under the sink, take them off and check both for a blockage.

If these are ok then it's likely to be a blockage in the pump.

You'll need to drain the water out manually.

Put a shallow dish below the filter and slacken the filter.

Tighten it to stop the flow of water while you empty the dish.

Once empty, take the filter out, clean out the debris and ensure nothing is left jamming the pump.

Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump running.

If you do, fit the filter and try the machine again.

Hi , I have an elctrolux washing machine, and it stops half way through the cycle 'saying' E20. Does anyone know waht I have to do Thanks RN

E20 is difficulties in draining for washing. which can be drain tube kinked or blocked, drain filter clogged or dirty or the pump impeller behind filter is getting jammed by a coin or cotton or anything wrapped around it, remove filter and look at back of hole and see if impeller will turn use a long screwdriver to turn it, obviously with the power off

Error code E20 on Zanuzzi washing machine. Not draining/washing.

Simple in most cases its just the filter outlet has becopme full of day to day junk, debris and slime.
Slowly release the water by turning the handle to release the water. Ensure power is off.
Once water has been drained into a shallow tray you will be able to open the door.
Once the drum is empty, unscrew the handle completely to remove filter housing an clean out thoroughly.
replace and tighten up.
Turn on power and reset all programmes.
this should work, total cost about 15 minutes of your time.
If it doesnt work it may then be your pump, time to think about and engineer
