I'm pretty sure that indicates an alarm. The pattern is referred to as "temporal 4" which is the alarm pattern for CO. Either your device is in a bad place or there is an intermittent CO leak which is exceeding the ppm (parts per million) threshold for a given time period. The instructions for the device will tell you what that number is. If you have more than one of these, I would try swapping them to determine if the problen is with the device or the location. Dale, My alarms beep like that to warn me of batteries needing replaced. What I do is hit the test button and ensure it sounds. I would still replace the battery(ies) and retest when you do.
Detecotrs have a limited lifespan of 5-7 years. So sounds like you need new one (Its not worth to buy just a sensor). Take a look on amazon Amazon com smoke alarm detector (watch out on reviews). I hope this was helpful. cheers

The CO sensor will not alarm to levels of CO below 30 ppm and will alarm in the following time range when exposed to the corresponding levels of CO: 70 ppm CO Concentration 60 - 240 minutes 150 ppm CO Concentration 10 - 50 minutes 400 ppm CO Concentration 4 - 15 minutes The alarm shall include a piezoelectric horn that is rated at 85 decibels at 10 feet. Some models of Carbon Monoxide Detectors will give an audible beep every 25-30 seconds after it has sounded an alert alarm. This may have happened when there was noone home to hear it. A periodic beeping sound may also indicate it is time to change the battery.

You don't mention how old the detector is. If it is more than 5 years old the detector may be beeping to indicate the end of its service life. A smoke detector can last much longer but carbon monoxide detectors have a limited life span. If putting in new batteries doesn't fix the problem then most likely you will need to replace it.
