Hi, Klik and Crane & Viceroy are excellent and robust watches, but due to the radio control batteries need to be changed more often than ordinary watches. Instructions for resetting the time on a Klik or Crane & Viceroy watch. With the watch face upwards and the buttons on the right assume the buttons to be; top button - "A", middle button "B" For setting the watch to GMT all hands need to point to 12 oclock exactly. To achieve this press Button A until the hands start spinning. Stop the spinning when the time reaches a couple of minutes before 12 oclock by repressing A. Inch the time forward by repressing Button A until all hands are at 12 oclock.(EXACTLY). Press Button B within 10 seconds and the time will advance 1 hour and stop. The radio signal will be picked up automatically and time will set itself in a few minutes. Notes: If you have radio dead spots avoid these when resetting the watch and do it away from magnetic or large metal objects. i.e. trays etc. If you are refitting a new battery and have a battery that isn't quite dead, do the advancement of time with the old battery and fit the new one near to 12 oclock to get the best life out of the new battery. If for any reason you want the watch to be in radio mode but read a time other than GMT ( no adjustment is needed for BST ), then instead of stopping the watch at 12 oclock stop it at the time in relation to 12 oclock. i.e. if you wanted the watch to read 30 minutes fast then stop the watch at 12.30. if you want any other info my email is; [email protected]

I have citizen eco-drive skyhawk not under warranty. Two weeks ago everything turned off. Nothing works. Do i change battery is there replaceable battery in these watches? I know when i bought it they...

The watch has a "battery" and claims that it does not need to be replaced but perhaps it needs re-charging. If you go to their web site (click on the link below), there is a full explanation of re-charging requirements :-

Battery change Citizen Promaster Watch Model# C112.

mcdevito75 here, You should be able to get some help online at citizenwatchserv.com in the meantime you can try to press and hold in the MODE button, press and hold it in for a couple of seconds. Also< IO wouldn"t be surprised if the battery has to come out and installed again, same new battery just simply have it taken out and put back in, maybe some sort of re-set. Check out the website, don"t do anything till then.

Analogue hands don't correspode to digital clock

Hi,

Sometimes a watch will be off center due to shock, dead battery etc. Symptoms are; hands don’t line up, digital and analog time doesn’t match, Compass function doesn’t have the hands exactly opposite etc. This can all be fixed. The Synchronization function can be used:

1. Activate Crystal
2. Tap center until you are the unit’s screen (12h or 24h, F ft or C m).
3. Push and hold (at least five seconds) the center crown
4. Watch will beep and word (SYNCHRO) will appear in the display.
5. Use the top + button to line up the minute hand right on the 12.
6. Use the bottom – button to line up the hour hand right on the 12.
7. When finished, press crown and you will go back to time.

Klik radio controlled watch

First, you need to set the hands at midnight. Press the upper button for 3 secs and let go. The hands will start to advance. Watch them, and when you are almost at the position of 00:00:00, press the upper button again briefly and the hands will stop. Then pulse the upper button to finish advancing the second hand to a perfect 00:00:00. Within 10 seconds, press the middle, knurled, button briefly (if you don’t, the watch will just to back to where it was). When you have done this, the watch will start to run (albeit at the wrong time).

Now you need to tell it to set itself from the time signal. Press the upper button and the lowest one *at the same time* for 3 secs and let go. The watch will acknowledge your request by moving the second hand (only) to 12. Leave the watch somewhere it is likely to get good radio reception. In a few minutes, you will see its hands start to move to the correct time, and they will eventually get there and your watch will be working again.
