I received a long message today morning. Since then my message notification is not disappearing from the display screen. How do i make it go away?

Depending on the OS you are running they are in Notification Center(iOS 6 and Later). You can access Notification Center by swiping down from the very top of your screen in iOS 7. You can change Notifications on an app by app basis in Settings, Notification Center.

Go to: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/notifications.php when you are logged into facebook to view your notifications.

I had the same problem, and the reason is that you have to much sms (usually >2000). You have to delete unnecessary ones, go to enabled applications, uncheck message notification, go back to the home screen, and go to enabled applications to check message notification again. The messa ge notification will display again

From the Main Menu, go to:

Tools

Control Panel

Device

Sounds & alerts

Message alerts

On the display, place a check on the tick box before the "Display notification" tab.

This will enable the message notification whenever you receive messages on your phone. I hope this helps. =)

Why am I receiving a memory full notification? Memory full warning notifications are shown once the SMS memory reaches 80% full, which is 80 out of 100 SMS.
The notifications show up every time on receiving a new message. On reaching 100%, "Memory full notification" message is shown and no new messages will be received until we make space for incoming messages by deleting some from the inbox.
Memory full warning notices are shown only if "Auto Erase Inbox" is set to Off in Messaging settings (Menu -> Settings -> Messaging).
If set to On, then these notices are not shown. By default this is set to Off.

is it a notification? check options on home screen.

might be its infected with virus try with normal master reset or for mopre support contact nearest service centre for more support

well the answer to the first question is ya you can turn the annoying notifications off. All you have to do is go to menu-settings-audio-vibe & ring detail. then u scroll down to messaging and change it to silent.(your phone may not me vibe & ring detail its watever setting you have it on (ex. loud ,vibrate,vibe then ring) and this is followed by the word detail
