I have a similiar dryer to the GE DBXR463EBWW , it may be the same. I can only remember the last few letters of the model number. It makes a strange noise when it turns, almost like it is having trouble turning but the speed appears the same. It stopped turning all together so I unplugged it from the wall and when I did it blew the breaker. I inspected the wiring and plugged it back into the wall and it started working again but with the same noise so we have not ran it since.

The belt is most likely either the wrong size (too long) or the belt has stretched. A new belt of the correct size should solve this problem. Make sure you have the model number when you buy the belt. I recommend that you take the old belt with you and verify that the replacement is a little shorter.
more likely than not the gas coils that operate the gas valve have gone bad.. if it fires at all the safetys, etc are good.. if i had model number i could be more specific as to how to get to them and part #'s.. hope this helps, best of luck, ttfn
The part number on a drive belt for the model you have listed is WE12M29. It can be purchased on line at pcappliancerepair.com for about $11. I hope this helps you.
If your dryer came with a regular grounded cord attached, it is a gas dryer, and you will have to hook up a gas line to the 3/8 pipe nipple at the lower left corner (when viewed from behind). The 4 prong power cord is only used for electric only models. If still unsure, post the model number from the sticker inside the door of the dryer.
Check Replace Thermostat. The Dryer Thinks Its Not Lighting Because The Thermostat Isn't Working.
The Dryer Has A Safety Mechanism So It Wont Flood Your Home With Gas. When The Thermostat Is Broken The Unit Doesn't Detect The Heat And Shuts Off The Gas.
could be a bad motor or timer contacts. can you hear a humming sound coming from the motor if you tried starting it again? if there is none, wait for about 5 mins and try starting it again, hear what happens?..
