SOURCE: xbox 360 sync problem - controllers will not connect

maybe the only way is take it a part and see if the sync button is not broken some how. therefore i advise you to buy a new controller maybe even a used 1 if you dont want to spend more than $20.

SOURCE: xbox wont sync with my wireless contorller

Have you ever synced one of these controllers before?

Hold the controller in your hand as if you were playing a game. Next flip the controller up so that the buttons on it, are facing you.

There is a small white button that you will see. Power your xbox up and after you get to your main menu press the sync button located about 2 inches to the left of your main power button on your console.

Press the described button on the console and then the described button on your controller. The two should sync together perfectly fine.

Xbox 360 controller blinks twice then shut off. Been trying to play old Xbox games but the controller will not blink more than two times.

This may mean that your console is suffering from a power problem here . If your console not receiving enough power it will turn off whatever is wireless to conserve the power to keep the console on. Make sure you are not plugged into any surge protectors or and any extension cords.
If the controller is only flashing twice and not connecting to your console If you are playing on your Xbox 360 you can turn the console off by holding the power button for about 10 seconds and once it is turned off you can unplug the Xbox 360 for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in and power it on.It could just be a bad controller then or the controller needs to have the battery pack in it be replaced.Or it is a broken controller.

There is a connect button on the controller as well. See this site or follow the instructions below. http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/get-started/console/connecting-game-controllers.aspx

  1. Turn on your console.
  2. Press and hold the Guide button on the controller until the controller turns on.
  3. Press and release the connect button on the console.
  4. Within 20 seconds, press and release the connect button on the controller.
  5. When the lights surrounding the power button on the console stop flashing, the controller is connected.

When i try to turn on the xbox controller it wont turn on it will just keep blinking. i have tried changing the batteries and turning the system on and off. what do i do?

You have to sync it. To do this you need to Press and and hold a tiny button in the front of the xbox next to the sd card slot for about 2 seconds. Then right afterward press a tiny button located on the top of the xbox controller. Its located next to the battery pack.

Controller wont function

Try moving the xbox away from anything metal, most notably your TV, and then turn the xbox off. You may have to do the syncing again, but moving it away solves most people's problems.
