can you be more specific as to the actual text? Also you should press F2 or whatever key is your bios hotkey and check your boot order. Make sure that the hard drive is your first boot device. it actually kind of sounds like you have a cd in the drive and it's trying to boot from it. please physically verify that there are no discs in the drive.
Hi darklink386 Please make sure first of all that you feel comfortable bwith taking apart your laptop. If you go to the support site for Packard Bell, you will find the technical manual or users guide for your laptop. Follow the instructions carefully to dismantle your laptop. One site you might find useful is called www.?nsidemylaptop.com They have very good instructions including illustrations for all makes and models. One secret is a screw that you will find on the motherboard labelled HOLE. It is the final screw that holds the bottom to the top. It can be difficult to find, and sometimes there are two HOLE screws. once you remove that screw, you will have to unscrew the heat sink and then you should have no problems. Good Luck

Hi, because it is a Packard Bell your problem doesn't sound odd. I owned one at one point in time. They have since gone out of business. A keyboard that freezes is related to circuit malfunction. You have two options: open the laptop and clean out all the dust from everywhere especially under the keyboard. If that doesn't work reseat the processor. I will walk you through these solutions if needed. Just open a live chat with me.
