Need software for i860 printer to run with windows vista.

Go to the Canon website and they should have a section to download drivers for Vista.

You can download the updated Vista driver from the Canon web site HERE. Just make sure you select the correct Operating System before you download.

Purchase a new computer or go online to see if you can find updated software for vista on that model of printer.If you have two computers you can network them but that may not work.

same problem...mine will only print out in duplex mode in word.

Choose Vista from the drop down menu. Install the driver then reboot windows.

You need to download the Windows Vista compatible driver for your X1185 at
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X1185

Be sure to select the correct Windows Vista driver (there is one for Vista (x64) and one for Vista (which is the 32-bit version and the one you are most likely running on your PC)

i suggest you get the print manager software update from Canon's site. Here's a link for that.

I would , personally delete the printer and re-install it...

Buying a new printhead is a mighty good suggestion, it seems you have pretty well used up the maximum service life of your printhead, if i'm not mistaken. Try to reinstall your printer along with its software. Go to settings>control panel > remove hardware> then,reboot. After, rebooting, re-install your printer software and drivers.
