HOW DO I CLEAR PAPER JAM ON KODAK ESP.5

It's probably a fragment or small piece. Look at paper path with a lot of light very carefully. You may need to dismantle to clear it.

It keeps telling me there is a paper jam but I see no paper in printer??

Check for the paper fragments inside. It is also likely that while removing the paper either some fragments are stuck or the pick up roller pivot is broken.

Welll its not a canon but ew are in dire need. Our 16 month old OKI b4600 wont print.Error message says clear paper jam. cant find a jam swapped tray, cartridge/drum etc. No luck. Any suggested

Hi There and Welcome to Fixya,

Usually, paper jams can occur at the input location right at the bottom of the printer - always remember that even a tiny piece of paper can cause halt in printing, hence, the error message.

Here's what I'm suggesting for you to do :
  • Start with pulling out the tray from the printer and look for ANY crumpled/pieces/fragments of paper that could be tucked in.
  • At the bottom of the printer is the feed area - do the same thing and remove any pieces of paper.
  • Ensure that it's absolutely "paper fragment free" before returning the tray back at the printer.
  • Next, is to open the top cover and carefully remove the drum.
  • Remove any pieces or fragments of paper that you find.
  • Carefully slide back the drum, ensure that everything snaps into place.
  • Close the top cover.
  • Restart your printer.
I most certainly hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Small piece of paper can not be found, which the jamming the printer, someone in forum recommends to unzip the printer. May someone please tell me how to unzip the printer.

By unzip, i believe you mean dismantle the printer. Dismantling the printer can (and most probably will) void your warranty. So please consult either Canon themselves or where you bought the product from.
However if the warranty of your device has already ended then remove the screws of the panels one by one, removing each panel and placing the screws with them so they don't get lost or mixed up. Make your way to the cartridge carriage and try to get them to the center for easy removal. After which inspect the roller or carriage for any small pieces of paper that may be jamming the carriage. Remove if found, otherwise try using canned air to blow at the most probable places where the paper might have gotten stuck.
Proceed to re-assemble the printer and try to see if it works. If it does then great, otherwise please go to your nearest canon certified repair shop.

It says remove jammed paper whene there is no paper in it

There might be a fragment of paper that is holding a sensor switch in the armed position, otherwise theswitch is stuck and needs to be freed. Careful inspection is required as it does not take much togive this fault.

Canon mp250 paper will not feed snags on something roller works but will not feed

I had a paper feed problem with a Canon MP 250 and solved it this way. (not my own)

After many attempts t clean the feed rollers etc. I tried the following.

I cut a piece of card stock about two inches wide. I fed this sock from the front to rear and carefully worked the card stock in and out and from side to side (flossed it) and dislodged a drywall screw !!

I realize that having a drywall screw lodged in the paper feed is not common, however this "flossing trick may help to clear the paper feed path in other situations.

Paper jam in fix unit of canon image runner 1670F. How do I get fixing unit out.

canon will tell you the fixing assy. is not to be serviced in the field from experiance I know customers can break these very easily
but if your careful you should be ok
open left hand door
remove front corner panel 2 screws
you need to remove the 2 screws on the black tabs and the 2 large vertical screws 1 front and 1 rear
also there is an earthing screw and the connector block disconnect the 3 connections and remove the unit complete
remove paper fragments
but be carefull this is were most people go wrong and end up damageing the fixing film or thermistor neither of whitch can be repaired
damage these and you will need a new unit
once you have all the paper out reverse the process to refit assy.
good luck
