To change into degrees Celsius, open battery cover and you will find four dip switches. They are numbered one to four. You will need to switch number three off and then reset the controller. Reset if performed by holding the "SET" "CLEAR" "HOUR UP" and "HOUR DOWN" buttons until the display clears. The remote should now be in degrees Celsius. Below is a part of the manual that I have regarding dip switches:
SW1, SW2-Selection of Reverse Cycle or Cooling Only ModelSW3-Selection of degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit SW4- Selection of time displayed in 12hr or 24hr format.
Hope this helps

    Hi,

It's unlikely that you need a new remote. It simply needs to be reprogrammed with the correct code again. Remotes can "forget" the programmed codes if the batteries run down completely or if the new batteries aren't inserted quickly enough.

Reprogram the codes and it should work.

Please post back if you need further assistance.

We have just purchased a universal remote for our ducted airwell air con - we need a code for it and airwell isnt listed on the remote

I am sorry if ask wha may seem like a few silly questions, but I need some clarification to assist you better.

-Is this a Residential AC Unit?
-If it is a residential AC unit, where is the thermostat located for this unit?
-Do you know if there is a wall mounted thermistor located on the wall in another room or in the room it cools?

I ask these questions, because generally if the fan coil is mounted in the ductwork, then there isn't always a way of controlling it remotely. Generally, it's controlled by hard-wired thermostat.
If you know it was controlled remotely, then you will need to go the website for the Airwell Fan coil and do a search on programming the remote. I'm sorry there is no short cut for this, you will need to obtain the code from Airwell.

    Hope this helped... :D

If its for the unit pictured go to http://service.airwell.com.au/airwellsanyoparts/Website%202007%20update/airwell/XV26RCA/ and click on operation instructions.doc. Even though this is an airwell manual, they both use the same control.
