You may just be overloading the circuit. Easiest correction - unplug something else that's running (or turn off a light) on the same circuit and see if the breaker still shuts off.
But wait - also important - was there any burning smell? If so, this is dangerous. It's a short circuit that occurs when a "hot" wire (black) touches another hot wire or touches a "neutral" wire (white) in one of your outlets. You should not use that outlet and have an electrician look at it. Or it could be a ground fault (similar to the short circuit - when a hot wire touches the ground wire on the side of a metal outlet box which is connected to the ground wire. For either of these, you need an electrician.
Is this a new juicer, have you used this before without the circuit failure? Most circuits in the house will be are 15 amp breakers. If the appliance has a high amp load then this can cause it to switch the breaker turning on or off.(due to to voltage spikes) I have a waffle iron that does the same thing if my refrigerator cycles while the iron is on. There are a few things that could cause this. But before anything else I would try the juicer in a different plug that is on a different circuit, like the living room for example. If that works well then I would start looking at you may need to replace the circuit breaker, they do go bad.
There's nothing wrong. These juicers do not eject the pulp and go out of balance very easily. If you continue to have problems you may have to go for a different type of juicer. The Hurom or Omega VRT, expensive, look good if you're really into juicing.
The reset button is actually a circuit breaker in miniature but there may be a thermal fuse to protect against fire in case of failure of the circuit breaker.
If you are game, open the housing again and look for a device you don't recognize that is in series (in line) with a wire; it may be in an insulating sleeve and not immediately visible, appearing only as a thickening of the wire.
This could be a thermal fuse.
They are not supposed to open under load but only when the temperature exceeds a limit and these do not reset.
Unfortunately, these are now all coming from China and are not very reliable so may open even when the design temperature is not exceeded.
If concealed, you would need a simple multimeter to determine if it had 'opened' by checking for the continuity of the wire stretch.
Blenders in general are 'universal' motors which can use AC or DC and this type employs carbon brushes which do abrade with time and when they have become too short, they can become intermittent and cause such a popping sound too.
Brushes are replaceable so you might check Waring's website to see if they offer a fixed-price replacement or brushes as replacement parts.
I would be prone to see the Waring restored since most replacement blenders are from China and have often more than just one problem even when new.
One given to us as a present smoked while crushing ice so we retrieved our old Oster from its stash and tossed the oriental wonder.
Try the juicer on another circuit to see if the breaker failed altogether on the circuit you were using. It's possible that the machine is drawing more power than it should and may need to be checked by an appliance service dealer. An electrician can also check the power draw at the breaker to see if it is being overloaded. If the machine itself is defective, it should receive professional service. Good luck!
First, check that the switch is in the on position. Then, check that all parts are assembled properly. The unit has a built-in safety device that will not let the motor turn on if not assembled properly. The Power Juicer also has a built-in Thermal Cut Off Safety Switch. If the machine was running, then shut down due to accidental overheating, then there is a 10 minute cooling time before the machine will restart. This helps to protect the motor from seizing. Click on the link below and select your juicer model to view the instructions and operating manual
First, turn off the power at the circuit breaker and look for a small reset button. There should be one. If not, leave the juicer on off - and turn the circuit brkr. back on, and try again. If this still doesn't work. Check and see if you're plugged into a GFI receptacle, which has a little reset button on it. In fact, you can check this first. Good Luck to you! Feel free to contact me again if this doesn't work for you. - Jim
Junk it and buy an Omega, they at least have a decent circuit breaker. Mine quit after starting it and the breaker won't reset. Fixed it with a car fuse.
