This type of media player is standard supported by Windows 98 (With usb drivers installed), XP, Vista, 7. The driver comes with MS Windows, you can reach te player by going to: My Computer\Name of player (Sometimes they use simply ZEN as name or removable media.)
For older windows versions, you'll have to install drivers for usb without anny guarantee that it will work, these are dos drivers and I don't know if these are still hosted anywhere on the net these days, use Google.
You'll have to install these drivers by hand.
Creative labs does only support these OS-es: Win 98(SE,)Millenium, 2000, XP (also Pro, Pro X64, all media center editions) Vista 32bit and 64bit.
They don't support Win. 95 an don't support yet Win. 7.

You're always free to use the software that Creative labs comes up with, so that you're able to directly rip audio cd's, note that there comes no driver with the software because the driver comes with the modern Operating Systems.
