If the dialing is from the computer , the wifi router cannot connect you to the net and so you cannot use it on your phone , there is nothing wrong with your phone . dialing settings must be placed in the modem itself to us the wifi . contact your net provider its a 1 min job.

S3653w dns failed

  • 1. Delete the configured wireless connection if you already have one
  • 2. Enable WiFi but do not perform a search at the moment
  • 3. Open the browser, select Settings > Browser profiles and press "Search for WiFi"
  • 4. Select the connection that you want to connect to and type the details that match the settings on the router
    • Auth type = WPA
    • Encryption = TKIP
    • Network key = router pre-shared key
    • Protocol = HTTP
    • Home URL = address of modem (you can change it later if everything is already working)
    • Leave proxy blank
    • Linger = default
    • Adhoc = off
    • There is no need to change the advanced settings
  • 5. Save the settings but do not connect yet
  • 6. Exit the browser, go to WiFi and select the connection that you have just configured
  • 7. Check all the settings are OK
    • If the channel is different to the one set on the router, adjust it on the router to match the one used by the phone
  • 8. Activate the selected connection and try browsing the internet
That should get everything working. This applies only to personal wireless networks.

My GT-S3653W can't connect to a wifi

Can you please be more specific? Usually, there are some hotspots that require more authentication or a proxy server in order to be able to access the internet. If this is your home network, have you tried connecting your phone to some other hotspots? Does it fail with all WiFi networks? If it does, maybe this is a software glitch. You may need your phone serviced.

That's it. I hope that this helps. This applies only to personal wireless network.

I want to gonfigure wifi settings on my samsung s3653

1. Go to wifi on your menu 2. Activate it but don't search yet. 3. Go to Internet then select Settings 3. Select Internet profiles then click search for wifi 4. Click the wifi you want to connect to then configure the details to match the one on your router. 5. If your network is secured, select the authentication type and encryption key that your router uses then enter the network key. 6. If your network is unsecured, do not change anything. Just enter the default IP of your router after the "http://" in the home url space. 7. Save 8. Exit and go back to wifi on your menu then you'll see your network, connect to it. 9.After connecting, click it again then select start internet.

Can i connect my samusung jet to to my home hub? for free?

Hi Becky,
To connect your Samsung phone to your home wi-fi network, the basic is: 1. On your home screen, click on the bottom right "menu" button. 2. Got to the 1st screen , where the little gear icon for "settings" is at the bottom right corner. Open "Settings" 3. Click on "application settings" 4. Click on "Browser profiles" 5. At the bottom right you should see: "Search for wi-fi". Click on it. 6. It will now serch for your home wi-fi network. 7. Once it find your network, click on it and enter your security detail. 8. Now you network is listed as part of the Browser profiles. 9. Now you can select your wi-fe network as your default browser profile.
Now when you open the browser it will try to conect to your wifi to start browsing. If you use your home wifi internet to browse you will not incur cellphone/mobile phone network charges. When browsing based on your wifi network , you should see a "green" connection symbol at the top of your phone...
Enjoy :) Ed
