Pentax did not support this model well, you would need to get a new lens unit - very costly.
I would suggest you upgrade - Sony sell similar slimline cameras with touch screens.

Pentax Optio T10,comes up with Card Locked, when turned on

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Pentax Optio a10 turns off automatically after I turn it on

It sounds like you may have a bad lens assembly. If it is sticking, it will buzz. If it fails to open all the way, it will turn itself back off. This is what it sounds like you are saying. I can fix this for $40, or you can send it to Pentax in Arizona. I don't know what they charge for a lens assembly, but the minimum charge for this camera seems to be about $90. If you just want to get rid of this camera, I also buy all Pentax Option a10, a20, a30, a40 cameras.

Pentax Optio S6 re-occuring problem

Greetings...

Here is the information on the lens system for the Pentax...

The Sliding Lens system is a proprietary PENTAX lens system that offsets the central lens groups from the optical lens axis and retracts the lens in two steps in the cylinder for minimized overall body depth.

I think from what you have stated, the lens system is off track, hense the noise and the blurry image...

Hope this is helpful...

Lens Jammed

Is looks like a problem with the zooming mechanism. Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix your problem. In any case it could not make it worse Good luck!

Pentax Optio T10 turning off immediately

My optio t10 did basically the same thing...turned on, lens goes out, then automatically shut off. I took the advice of a solution listed here for another problem...hit the camera. For whatever reason it worked.
