Wow. Never heard that one before. Here are a few ideas as they come off my fingers: 1. Try a reload of the operating system, what is referred to as a repair install. 2. You could try booting from a diskette and then try to find out what is wrong with the recognition of the mouse. 3. Perhaps hooking up a usb mouse? 4. Disable the laptop mouse in the bios, which hopefully you can get to before the hang. Take your pick and work from easiest to hardest. The boot looks like it is freezing on the laptop mouse, so if you want to get past that portion of the boot, you have to resolve it or blow away the code that is not recognizing the mouse, if you presume that the mouse is funcitonal. If not, fix the mouse. Hope this helps Karl
