I recently bought a futon but for some reason if you fold it out into a bed and lay in the middle the futon folds up. I think it jsut isnt assembled correctly. Is there a manual to check for the Dorel Industries futon model FF4157SILS?

I had the same problem, went to you tube and this guy has a wooden armed one very similar. I was happy that it shows step by step. Just type in assembly instruction futon, and it will come right up. Mind you, the parts are not exact but it was very helpful.

Baby beds are tricky, assemble the 2 sides to the stationary rail first. then the springs, then do the sliding rail last then lay mattress on there. if ya ever move it Note: if you ever move it leave the sliding side be and fold the ends inward after removing the stationary side and springs. -pop
The term "wall hugger" refers to a certain type of bi-fold
futon frame that folds down by pulling away from the wall so that you don't
have to move the entire frame to turn the futon into a bed.
Bi-fold
futons are the standard. Most have arms
and legs like a regular sofa, with the cushion folding once down the
middle. Most bi-fold futons come with
something known as a "slider" mechanism.
It is a term for the system that allows you to convert the futon from
its upright position into a bed.
