GE Profile Oven Error Code F5

I have a GE Profile oven and it started flashing "oven locked". The manual indicates it's an "F5" error, but it doesn't tell me what to do to clear it. Any suggestions before I have to call a repair man to come out?

I have a Jenn-Air double microwave and oven model WMG3020 and keep getting a F5 code warning when trying to turn on oven. There are no trouble-shooting solutions in the manual. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: GE Profile double Built-In Oven error Code

According to the GE User manual... any F# error code means you have a function error and they suggest you press the CLEAR/OFF pad and allow the oven to cool for one hour. Then put the oven back into operation. If the function code repeats, disconnect all power from th eoven for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect it.. If it still comes back.. call for service.. however it has been my observation that F0 is usually a shorted off key on the keypad. Hope this helps..

SOURCE: Our GE Profile JTP18 keeps flashing "door lock" since we ran a self clean

It was a "reset" switch in behind the control panel that went off when the self clean cycle increased the temperature in the area behind the control panel got too hot. After flipping the breaker, and then flipping it back on the oven finally unlocked. I pulled the control panel off and pushed the reset switch. Everything fired back up great. I just won't use the Self-Clean ever again.

Ge oven jkp27 code f5

Hello Donald,

The F5 error code means that the control board has detecteda error within it self and theirfore the control(also called clock or EOC) needs to be replaced. The F5 error code can be cleared by pushing the cancel/off button and if it returns a short time later their is defiently a malfunction inside of the clock and it would need to be replaced.

I have a F5-E0 error and it locked the oven door, i turned the over range off and on to unlock the door and kept the range off all night, when i put it back on this morning the oven started to heat up on...

Hi

Error code F5-E0 indicates that there is an issue with the door latch switch assembly; if the switch tests open then the door lock assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Aeg b5741-14 oven has code f5 -what does this mean?

Here is a list of oven error codes for your model Kenmore oven.
  1. F0 indicates a Stuck key pad.
  2. F1 and F7 may mean relay is turned on.
  3. F2 indicates that the oven is over temperature in one of the following modes within either cooking or cleaning mode of operation. The control is sensing over 615 degrees with the door lock circuit in the unlock mode. Control senses oven temperature above 915 degrees with the door in the locked mode.
  4. F3 and F4 indicates an open or shorted oven sensor or sensor circuit.
  5. F5 indicates a loss of relay drive circuit.
  6. FF indicates a loss of door motor safety switch.
  7. FC indicates a door lock circuit problem.
If the display of your control is flashing "F" followed by a number or letter its a range malfunction. Press the clear/off pad. Let the range cool for 1 hour and place the range back into operation.
If the problem repeats, call for service.

I was cleaning my self cleaning whirlpool accubake oven and a F1 and E7 code appeared. I have just bought my house and the prior owner did not leave any manuals. Help please

Most Whirlpool appliance manuals are available from Whirlpool: http://www.whirlpool.com/owners-center/owners-center-homepage.content.html . You will need the model number from the oven. This should be located behind the oven storage drawer on the rim. It will usually be on the left for a range and on the right for a wall oven. On rare models the plaque with the model number will be behind the door. If you add a comment with the model number, I'll try to post a direct link to the manual.

Are you sure about the error code? F1 and E7 aren't in my code books. I have an F7 and E1 code that indicates a short between the door switch or latch switch and the chassis or ground. (For double ovens, there are two of the switches for each door. The code doesn't specify which oven has a bad switch.) The F5 E7 error is a door latch that will not unlock. An F3 E7 error indicates that the warming drawer sensor has shorted out.

For the F3 E7 error, simply replace the sensor. For the other two errors, the solution depends on the door lock state. You start by unplugging the oven and checking all the wires and their connectors. See http://www.appliancepartspros.com/repairtips/repairtips_appliance+fault+codes.aspx#Whirlpool%20Range%20/%20Stove%20/%20Oven%20Fault%20Codes for the complete set of steps. If the wires/connectors are okay, you probably need to replace one of the door switches if the oven door was locked when the error occurred. If it wasn't locked, then you can check the voltage to the various switches and replace any that are bad. If it isn't a switch, then it is the control that has failed and must be replaced.

I hope this helps.

F0 error code on ge profile oven

Could be a stuck keypad. Try pressing all pads at random several times each to clear it.
If that does not work the ERC(clock) must be replaced.

Inglis F5E1 Oven model: IJP85801

The error code F5 E1 is normally associated with problems cleaning
in this case latch not locking. If you did not initiate the cleaning mode then (as u indicate - was baking) then we have a bigger problem. The controller (clock) has malfunctioned. Press any key for about a minute - F2 should appear - then press cancel observe for about a minute - try operation - either back to normal or change control board
