I have a wireless doorbell made by DESA International, INC. I believe the model number is SL-6195-RX. FCC#: BJ4-61WDB95RX. There is another number on the unit: 390-6195-04. I need the push button part that holds the battery. The battery terminal inside has broken off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Dane

A: Hi Tim, Any of our Heath Zenith or Hampton Bay branded buttons will work with that model. You will need to put it in backwards compatible mode. Please contact our technical service team and we'd be happy to help.

Also sold by Heath Zenith and where there Product Support is.
It seems your doorbell transmitter got wet and corroded the contacts. These push buttons are not sealed at all and thus will let rain, snow etc. eventually corrode the electronics. Solution: Find a new push button on eBay.
Heath-Zenith (I beleive they bought DESA) makes a battery remote push button bell that says its compatible with all Heath Zenith chimes. I bought one at Home Depot and it worked for my SL-6195-RX. (an on line doorbell seller and the Home Depot assoc all said it wouldn't work.) UPC is 16963961975. Item also shows a code "11G43" on a sticker on the back of the package.
The contacts in the outside push button unit may need cleaning. They do get dirty over time. If that doesn't solve your problem you can contact the Zenith Company, who is now is the manufacturer for tech service issues. 800-858-8501.
Open up both the button and the main unit and switch the codes with the pins. It done on a row of pin sets - Default is usually connectors on 5-6-7 (8 is on the main bell unit and causes the ding-**** to change to a Westminster chime). With a pair of needle nose pliers pull the connector and set them on different numbers. You must do this on both pieces, When you have a unique code its no longer an issue with the neighbors.
