Hello billboards,
SC 570 means that despite the fact that the the copier had been giving a "FUSER OIL LOW" prompt in the upper left hand corner of the display for quite some time, the prompt was ignored and now the oil is more than low it is empty. You will first need to aquire fusing oil for your machine.Typically it would be purchased from the same source you would aquire toner as it is something that is consumed as the copier is used similliar to toner. Once you have the oil you will need to replenish the copier's supply of oil. To do this you will need to access the back of the machine. Once you are at the back of the machine, look down to the lower right hand corner. You will see a small square panel with what I would describe as an oversized white plastic flathead screw that needs to be turned counterclockwise to release the small panel/cover. Once you remove the cover you will see a clear container witha black screw on cap. Unscrew it,and fill the container with the oil and stop filling when it reaches the neck of the container. Button everything back up and now you are halfway out of the woods. Now we go to the front of the machine. We need to reset the code. There is a yellow rectangular button above the nine key pad used to enter the number of copies you want. Now that you have located it, press it once and then press the "1" then the "0" then the "7" and then press the round red stop button and hold it down until the screen changes and beeps. At this point the display will have several blocks showing. One of the blocks will say "copier".Press the copier block. Now you will have a drop down menu to the left and several options across the top of the display. At the top, from left to right, the fourth box should say "SP DIRECT" and should actually already be highlighted. At this point, merely press "5810" on the keypad and then press the " # " pound sign. The pound sign means enter. At this point you should see a prompt that says something like "SC reset" and there will be a bar below the prompt that says "EXECUTE" .Press the execute button. This resets the code. But now you must turn the main power off (the red switch located next to your left knee on the front panel of the copier) and wait a few seconds. Now turn that switch back on and you should be good to go. I just reviewed my instructions and wanted to stress that the yellow button above the nine key pad says clear/stop. Just wanted to be more specific. I bet you have this problem whipped in no time! I hope this helps.Take care and good luck. And please feel free to let the folks at "FIX YA" know if I helped you. I don't get paid by them but I like the pats on the head . :-) ...........spinal.......

Hi,
This SC code relates to the charge corona cleaner not working or not working properly. the charge corona is located towards the bottom left of the machine after opening the front cover. It will have a screw you can undo by hand and a cable with an end like a telephone cable plug. toner may have fallen in to the unit or the motor that drives the cleaner along the wires has decided to jam up. remove the charge corona and blow it out with compressed air. You can also remove the end of the unit and check that the motor is not gummed up. Be very careful you do not break the hair thin corona wires! Hope this helps.

yes you may it refers to a temp error int eh fuser... you may have a faulty thermistor or thermo fuse.. if you go into teh service mode by presssing teh yellow clear butto and then press 107 and then hold down the stop button the sreen will change turn the machine off and turn on again see if the errpr goes if it does it could have been just a temp error if it warms up then comes back on again you will have to look at the fuser.. you can check the fuser by touching the casing and see if it is warm after you have turned the machine back on..if it is warm the error could just be due to a build up of toner on the thermistor.. if you know about machines you can take the fuser out by opening the front of the machine up look to top right where fuser is there is a screw under the blue dial on the fuser take that out the fuser slides out put it on some paper and on the right hand side is the thermistors held inby a small screw if you take them out you may see some build up of toner on the resistor carefully clean this off.. put back together and turn on .. hopefully it will run ok.. good luck A
