Scale wont reset bfm788dq-63 health o meter // keeps giving a triple dash flashing bar... wont go to 0 and let you weigh yourself...tried replacing batteries and erasing all user info but still not working correctly...

I don't know specifically for this model, but for most like this, 300 or 330lbs is typical. To test a working scale for its max capacity, let a heavier friend try it or carefully hold a weight in each hand and stand very still when its a digital scale. A gallon plastic milk container weighs about 9lbs, so one in each hand,even if filled with water will give you an extra 18 lbs of testing room. You can also let the heavier friend or other person hold the weights to help you test the upper limits.
if the batteries are new and the battery terminals are clean and not corroded or broken, and the battery polarity is correct when they were installed. There must be a fault in the internal circuits of the scale, and a technician with the right tools, training, and experience will be needed to repair it.
Maybe time for a new scale.
To reset a profile hold down the number of the profile you want to reset (1-4) then hold down the select button at the same time. The scale will ask you if you want to erase. Then you can recreate your profile.
I called their comsuner number for this scale, BFM689SPKH-63. the number was 1800 672 562. She helped me calibrarte the scale, but that didn't work. To calibrate, step on and off 6 times, let it power off, then try again. That didn't work for me so she said to mail it in to their place in MO, and they will send me a new one. So give that a shot.
The scale must be on a hard, level surface. Make sure there is absolutely no dirt on any of the pivot points. Calibrate it with a KNOWN 25 pound weight.
You do not reset the scale. It only saves the last recorded weight of the user. So, if you weighed yesterday, it will put your recorded weight in memory. The next time you select your user number and step on the scale, it will compute the difference from your previous record and save your current weight.
