The picture is a red color

Hello,

A pink or red color on the screen indicates the back light bulbs are failing. The bulbs are just small florescent bulbs like used in your home or office lights. When they start to go out they put our red or pink light instead of white light. You can order the bulbs and replace them in the unit if you want to repair it. You can get the bulbs from http://www.ccflwarehouse.com/lampfinder.html
But this repair is very time consuming because the lights are very fragile and you have to fully disassemble the LCD panel in the monitor to replace the bulbs.

Hi,Would you pls check the connection that you have made between TV and DVD player..?
2xRCA (white+Red) will go to Audio IN sockets of TV in addition to 1xRCA Yellow video cable goes to "Video IN socket of TV..
if the connections are right than you must select the right source on TV ,as AV1 ,AV2 which corresponds to the cable input sockets of your TV.

The red/pink tint is caused by one of two things, either the backlight bulbs are going out or the power supply that powers the bulbs is not putting out enough voltage to fully light the bulbs. The backlights are just really small fluorescent bulbs, if they don't have full power they light with a pink tint. No amount of adjusting will correct this issue. You will need to have the TV serviced.

Please adjust TINT control of Video Settings in Menu that will adjust color tone of TV. I do not think this problem is related with Lamp because TV screen does not have any color blobs or spots.

try to reset the color and hue on the video menu

Make sure you get colors by bringing the TV menu and see if looks normal, if it does
maybe the problem us the signal source

depending on how much you paid for the tv , the cost of the repair may be more than the tv is worth. but if this is a large tv , then the repair would be most likely worth it

CRT green gun is not working properly , maybe dry soldered or no green drive signal. Pink and red colour is due to missing of green colour.

The solder joints on the degaussing thermistor have cracked or the thermistor itself has opened, and the CRT is heavily gaussed. You can degauss (demagnetize) the picture tube and the colors should return to normal, but the thermister should be resoldered or replaced.
