The Ipod Nano 5th connects to my headphones through the D650 but no with sound. Only play/pause next track last track are controllable. The motorola S305 head phone does play sound from the phone so they are OK... IS the NANO the leading cause

I have the same problem with 5th gen nano and the D650. It pairs and i can use the controls but no sound comes to the headphones. I tried the headphones with the onboard bluetooth on my ipod touch and i had no problems. The problem only happens with the d650 and my nano. Someone has made this work im sure.

Well, the internal speaker does not play sounds... It is not possible for the iPod's internal speaker to play music, as it is only capable of making three disctinct sounds:

the clicky noise

the alarm sound

the chirpy noise when you boot into diagnostic mode


You can get those sounds back by going into SETTINGS on the IPOD and turning the sounds back on.

When i plug my headphone in my ipod 5 genration it plays out loud
Try getting a can of compressed air to blow out the headphone jack sometimes dirt gets in there. Don't blow with just your mouth. If this works try keeping headphone jack covered so dirt doesn't get in there. Switcheasy makes doc and headphone port covers they come with their cases.

ok. i just fixed mine. plug the headphones in. lock the ipod. unlock the ipod. then hold down the centre button and the menu button at the same time, and it will manually reset itself. when it comes back on, it should be all hunkydory x

I have an IPOD touch. I just bought d650 motorola bluetooth adapter. I also purchased insignia bluetooth headset. I can change tracks but the sound comes out of the ipod but not the headset
Unfortunately not all bluetooth headsets are compatible with the Ipod Touch. You should go the Apple's Website and see if that have a list of what bluetooth devices will work for them

Pairing Motorola D650 to Motorola S9 with ipod nano or touch
It does work with the itouch. Try turning off the ipod completely. Turn it on again, then plug in the D650 and then your S9. Enjoy!

Ipod touch+motorola d650 adapter
I just bought the S9 with the D650 adopter with the same, very frustrating problem problem.
I contacted Motorola directly (1-800-331-6456), and after being redirected a couple times and asking a bunch of questions they told me the following:

Yes, there is a compatablility issue with the Ipod Touch and the D650. So no, we aren't all crazy. The new D650's now have a software upgrade to correct this problem. They were nice of enough to offer sending me a new one with no charge. The only thing I have to do is return my old one (and they took my credit card information to make sure I do return it.) They said it should be here within the week, so now I just gotta wait and see.

So my advice, give them a call and do the same.

I have a Motorola ROKR S9. The problem I have now is that it refuses to start. When I plug it into the charger it makes 2 green blinks and then starts to charge (red light) for about 10 seconds and then the red light goes off. If I hold down the power button when the green light blinks, the indicators starts blinking purple. When trying to start it while it's unplugged, nothing happens.

My Motorola D650 for iPod does not work. It pairs with my S9 headphones but the sound does not come through the headphones it plays through the internal speakers on my 4th gen iPod nano. I have followed the intstructions in the manual several times but have the same issue. Th D650 is paired with the S9 and the play/pause and back and next and volume up/down buttons work but there is no sound coming from the headphones, unless I press the volume buttons. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it faulty hardware?
